metacity right now and it is still very painful to scroll up and down

Hi Bryce,
I'm not sure where to go. I booted a live CD of 10.04. I enabled all
repositories and all suggested drivers. The thing is that "Calibrate
Touchscreen" no longer appears in the menus. That doesn't seem like the
problem is fixed, or irrelevant or invalid. Any suggestions?

I have had a look at how wacom tablets are supported in Lucid:
seems fdi files have to be translated to udev rules, see this:

and then we are back to a sort of xorg.conf configuration system, through local
snippets added in /usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d
