Can confirm this happens on LTSP thin clients from NTA. AIGLX -> off,
and Composite -> disable avoids the assertion failure. This is latest
Karmic with corresponding LTSP /opt/ltsp/i386 tree. FYI on a thin

bug. T60 ThinkPad, close lid, laptop does not suspend, open lid, X isin

The VT7 and VT8 I reported earlier were for my desktop (fresh 64-bit
install, binary nvidia driver, text-mode plymouth). My laptop (fresh

The laptop suspends and resumes normally this was tested via kernel team
script. But if I have power management set to suspend when on battery
power and I close the lid, the laptop does not suspend as expected, If I
wait for a bit and reopen the lid

Yes, if X still wants ACPI events, then we're dealing with acpid, for
the nonce; I'm just surprised it should need to.

I think you don't read carefully my report.
I wrote that my graphics card is ASUS 3650 which mean that is ATI.
And I didn't install any proprietary driver.I use the opensource radeon driver.

Sorry folks. I hadn't checked in on this in some time.
I believe the issue has turned out to be that the said GPU is in
nVidia's legacy pile and is no longer supported.
This was a very old test machine which I no longer use.

This happened to me after upgrading from Jaunty to Karmic. Using NVidia
drivers. Reseting totem settings to defaults seemed to fix the problem,
but naturally this should be fixed in the source.
