Arrandale is not supported on Karmic, which is why it used vesa. While
you get reduced resolution in that case, it's the best that could be

Support for this is improved in Lucid, although I'm not 100% certain
every issue with Arrandale has been worked out, so please test alpha-3

Hi prafull,
Hmm... I'm not sure I totally understand your description of the problem.
Could you please elaborate and clarify? You may find it helpful to read "How
to report bugs effectively"

Well, next I'd like to forward this issue upstream, but first it must be
retested on latest development version of Lucid to make sure the issue

Let's focus this bug report on the blank screen issue. Sounds like just
a vt mapping bug.
For the crash, please file a separate bug report. Probably easiest

Thanks for reporting this bug to help make Ubuntu better. I gather you
had installed the driver from nvidia.com? If so, we don't support that
configuration since that installation code is outside our control and
who knows what havok it can cause.

Hi agateau,
Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` and `dmesg`, and attach your
/var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this
