hi,
My moving, scrolling, dragging, and so on are finally working.
I made a new patch file for the changes I made attached to this message.
The patch file can replace the "02-buttonless-device.patch" file that
comes with the downloaded source file from the Jaunty repository in
"debian/patches",
I have just experienced another lockup, so rather than raise another bug report
about it I thought I would continue attaching information to this one. My
assumption at this stage is that they have the same root cause.
The lockup behaviour I experienced today was as follows:

Here's the updated version of buttonless-device.patch which fixes this
problem. It doesn't make long touch into right-click like the old one
did, but that should be configurable by the end-user now I guess?

I have updated my st4121 from Hardy to Jaunty but the bug is not fixed jet. The

I'm pretty interested to help identifying the source of the problem. I
verified and the problem does not seem to belong to xserver-xorg-input-
evdev as downgrading that package to the one in intrepid is not enough
to make the bug disappear. Does anyone has a idea in which project this

Sorry for the delay, I have only managed to upgrade our multiseat
internet cafe box to jaunty release this weekend. It appears now that
this problem does not exist anymore, the keyboard led's work and the
displays don't go into power saving whilst they are being used.

Hi hackeron, thanks for the input.
I looked into the patch, and you're right, it was not applying.
However, I was thrown off before, because I looked into the source and
some patches were applied, due to the new code and version difference I
think, but not all.
So I looked into it more, and even
