Has anyone used a usb webcam and had really good "no hassle" set up? if so,
what kind was it? I am considering buying one.

I really like the Logitech C910.
Retails for $100.00. Costco had it on sale for $49.99 the last few
weeks but they are running out quick. Plug and play for Linux
and great quality.

I'm not certain about the exact version but I believe the Microsoft Lifecam
plugs in and just works with good quality. Here's my best guess at a good
