Desktop Live CD is there? My daughter's PC won't boot and her install
CD is faulty so she is a bit stuck. I am 250 miles away so it is a
bit difficult for me to help if it won't even boot.

Have you got Lock Off in Brightness and Lock?

cently and have been satisfied. With 12.10 pretty much
everything worked out of the box, and any minor issues I had were
easily sorted. The only proviso is that I do not know about the
situation if you have a graphics upgrade rather than using the built
in Intel graphics (which works fine).

for certain. Certainly the Genesis IV that I bought recently is a
