I'm getting concerned about my log-on to desktop time of 30-40 seconds! It used to be 10 seconds. A while ago & possible* after some updates it slowed to the above [as it has been now for some time]. This has been my experience soon after [& still using] 12.04. It used to be: 9 secs when good
