Hi there This is probably a stupid question. I've been using
Precise 12.04 ever since the beginning of Alpha 1. I installed it for
testing, but found it so stable I have been using it on a day to day
basis ever since. I have taken the updates on a daily basis, watched it
as it changed,

My understanding is you'll have the same version more or less. Can't
vouch for any customisations but I am in the same position and that's
my understanding!

If you can prove that you purchased it in good faith, then they will
have to unblock it. If you bought it off a mate for cash, you don't
have any receipt, or evidence that you checked that it was not
reported stolen at the time of the sale, then a subsequent reporting
of it as stolen will be diffic
