a port other than 22 (like 443), and restart it by running
"sudo /etc/init.d/sshd restart"
Make sure all users on that

At the risk of sounding trite, read the Putty docs and get a connection
working to your machine from outside your network. This may involve opening
ports on your route

Hmm, have a look at TorrentFlux then. You'll need a

sudo apt-get install ssh on your home pc. Change the listening port
for ssh to port 443, sudo apt-get install rtorrent onto your home pc.
Connect to home from work using ssh and user rtorrent ;-)

You can run Azureus without the GUI, which saves on a lot of resources.
See http://nerdica.com/?p=30 (scroll down to BitTorrent client) and the
Azureus wiki http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/ConsoleUI
But azeures is kinda bloated isnt it! im currently using ktorrent!
