Both scanning an printing (colour and B/W) works perfectly fine on Ubuntu
Feisty.

I must have a working scanner so could some kind person tell of a
scanner which positively works on 7.04. I would rather buy a new one
than downgrade to 6.10 or wait several months until the next version of
Ubuntu.
