To activate your connection you can do one of a few things: 1) As David says you could use the Network Montior Applet. If you do not have one right click on the Panel -> Select "Add to Panel" -> Scroll Down to Find "Network Monitor" -> now highlight and Add. You can now follow the steps he presc
