kernel updates can break the modem set-up and it has to be re-installe

I did googled it before and most of the pages that i found were a copy
of the ubuntu wiki (or vice versa), using the kernel as a driver. I tried
that but was unsuccessful.
THe link that you sent me seems interesting. I'll try that and see what
happens.
