Just to clarify, what *exactly* happens when you exit iTunes? Does the
screen resolution just change, or does the resolution change AND send
you to the Ubuntu log-in screen?

but when i exit the program my screen resolution goes to 1280 which was
what it was when i first installed and the login screen, the problem is my
monitor only
supports 1024.
