Hi Guyan,
My suggestions is that if you are short of money but need a computer
for basic stuff, like internet browsing and word processing, you can find
bargains on the Ebay and also at the Computer Fair in central London (near
totternham court road). Then you can install Ubuntu/Kubuntu/X
In general, most hardware works fine. Hardware that doesn't is usually
the exotic stuff that developers do not own, and hence cannot write
drivers for. I'm sure there is a list somewhere however.
