It turns out this is easier than I thought. All you have to do is change the connection to "Shared to other computers" in the IPv4 settings and "Ignore" in the IPv6 settings. When I first tried I came across the constant reconnecting problem mentioned in the following bug: https://bugs.launchpad.n
