Why wait? It works already - I have my Maverick / as btrfs.
It is, however, noticeably slower than EXT4 in certain situations at the moment.

Extents are a method of pre-allocating space to avoid fragmentation. ext4 will
be faster for copying large files.

I've decided that I need a clear out of some of the junk on my laptop so
I'm going to do a fresh install from scratch, most probably with Ubuntu
10.04 32-Bit (was considering 10.10 but I'm probably going to wait for a
Beta before trying it, or try it in Virtual Box).
