repeat what I was told.

Worth knowing. I use Grisbi at the moment but wasn't Ltd what I started

Already been there. The numbers they list just give me an 0845 that
isn't listed there and say they can't help.

I have gotten along just fine since 2006 without having to touch a
non-Ubuntu system. If it is possible I like to keep it that way. It
works for me and every time I am forced to use a Windows system it
hammers home exactly why I stopped using them.

Nope, I refuse to start using other people's machines when there is
nothing wrong with mine. Besides this is not your average form. I
imagine many hours of banging my head against the screen to complete it.
Not really something I can do in the library.
To install Adobe Reader natively in Linux

Good point. Does it
You seem to be missing the point. Look at the original post where I
state that instead of loading the form it loads an error message.
If I were able to view the form in order to print it, I wouldn't need to
print it!

Unfortunately this is Corporation Tax and there doesn't appear to be any
other way to do this. It's a ridiculous system, so badly designed. Turns
out I now need to wait a week for them to post out a 6 digit number to
me before I can even start!

The form I need to fill out does not work with Evince.

I have just tested filling out a form using Evince (aka Document Viewer)
and it seems to work OK, but only if you download the form. If the PDF
form is just open in Firefox you cannot fill out the form.
The form I used was the N1 Claim Form from

Afraid not. You can only get it by logging in as a company. Naturally
I'm not publishing my login details :) Don't worry. I'll be having
serious words soon. I got it going but ran into a brick wall right away
as I have no idea what my authorisation key is, or indeed that I even
had one.

Hooray for the OMGUbuntu website. I located their piece about the
removal of Adobe Reader for Linux which included a link to the last
version of it. It 'appears' to be working.
Not exactly the ideal solution, it would be much nicer if both Adobe and
HMRC played nicely with the community.

Yes. You need Adobe Reader to fill the form in. Been that way for years.
Ok, and where do I get that from when Adobe only list Windows, Mac and
Android on their site?

I am currently about to prepare the first return for my limited company
and I'm finding the website you have to use for this is quite simply
unusable. It appears you have to download an interactive PDF and fill it
out however it simply loads the following message in the default reader:
