I've just had a really cool idea.
Imagine Ubuntu PDAs and stuff, if Canonical went into the actual
hardware side of things.
I'm literally drooling!

Well, it does take a bit of research before hand. Hauppauge USB freeview
receivers work out of the box in Linux.
It all depends on the market. Manufacturers are starting to put out
Linux code now, so things like that will change.

Very interesting, I will have to test it out.
The one thing that came to mind though, is GIMP gives good reasons for
not using the Photoshop menu structure: efficiency of code and use.

Don't trust the tories to do this. Mr Cameron will promise miracles for
another vote.
These are the same people who just promised to put a border police around all
of Britain's costline remember.

ClamAV is the preferred antivirus, firestarter is a good firewall.
Anyone who told you not to have a firewall is pretty foolish, antivirus
is pointless though. I use it on my server to protect Windows machines
on the network.

Would it be fesible to only offer the packages in CNR that aren't available in
Universe?
It would make a good way for users to obtain 'paid-for' software, such as
Cedega.

Though this is probably true it should not discourage members from
trying.
Marketing Linux has a 'snowball' effect, more users == faster expansion

It does need a firewall, but one is built in (I prefer a hardware
firewall anyway) to prevent malicious access through ports. Viruses
aren't really a threat to any Linux distribution, it is fundamentally
more secure than Windows, because of the way it is built very few
viruses have managed to affec
This is a surprise, the BBC have written an article critical of Vista.
Furthermore, it actually seems to be quoting the FSF's www.badvista.org
and the commotion they made when the original BBC article didn't mention
anything negative. This is great, the Beeb are waking up.

Tsmithe, have you written to your MP?
Has he already signed the early-day motion?

Hi Ben,
I'm also nearing the end of secondary school. If only we were a little
younger to see if OSS gets implemented at all.
Welcome to Ubuntu-UK, the schools discussions are very active at the
moment.

Does anyone know how to get the BBC parliament streams working in Edgy?
It seems I can watch all of the recorded video, but I can't access the
live feeds.
I can't access any of the realplayer video either, just the WMV.
Has anyone had any luck? I've got all of the win32 codecs.
I just listened to that link and it was fine
