Hi I have a Sony A55 and use the Gimp to edit photos with the raw plugin, works fine, but in the camaera are options to shoot in raw, jeg or as I do both. This means for viewing the results I use the jegp and if a more artistic or printed result is needed I use the raw version. Regards Gerry
