I just compared a Vista vs. Fiesty Inspiron laptop and the answer is It's (like for like*) $29 cheaper to buy a Vista laptop and install Fiesty on it yourself... Jeez... only Dell could replace a $40 OS with a free one and make it $69 more expensive... I really despair sometimes Lee *

Ubuntu does need a firewall/virus detectors, but (and it's a big but) there is less of a need for them. While it is true that most virus/trojan/spyware/malware attacks Windows based PCs, it's not just because there are more of them out there... The problem with Window is that it is fundamentally
