It could be either the download, in which case you can fix it using

By the way, these buttons and the code can be found here -

Well it looks like some new link buttons have been created, which you
can see at http://www.nuxified.org/topic/new_small_link_buttons#comment-8088
It would be great if you could contribute to the discussion. There
also seems to be a discussion about what form of the Linux name to use
on the button
Just to let the relevant person know, the ubuntu-uk homepage has a
bullet point which looks like this:
Ubuntu help website/a>
Which I am sure is not intentional. Hopefully this can easily and
quickly be fixed.

I for one would think, and I'm sure many would agree with me, that the
http://linux.org website is rather ugly in design, and not welcoming
or terribly explanatory to linux newcomers.
http://www.getgnulinux.org is designed to change this. It explains

So, I've got a hardware firewall in my router, so I shouldn't need a
software one.
What about anti-virus software though? Is there any software that
scans for Linux viruses, or do they all just check for windows ones?

I know that Linux is supposed to be much more secure than Windows. But
I still feel it would be best to have Antivirus and Firewall.
My quiestion is, do either of these come with Ubuntu by default, and
if not, what free software should I use.

I am thinking about swithcing to ubuntu, but I use an AOL ADSL modem

the eccisadsl drivers may be uncompatible).

I am thinking about installing Kubuntu on my main PC (which currently
uses XP). I use an AOL usb modem to access the internet (not the best
option I know, but I'm sticking with it for now) so I will need the

Two I know of are the GIMP and Inscape. Both seem pretty good to me,

Hello there,
I'm new to the Ubuntu-UK community. I've recently install Edgy Eft on
a relatively old computer of mine and it is working fine.
I thought I'd contribute to the discussion here, because I am in my
last year at secondary school, and the talk about OSS in schools is
quite relevant for m
