Oh, I have, but it was years ago. In the last decade, though, yes, several.
Generally, if it works with any Linux, it will work with x86 Ubuntu.
It might not work on ARM Ubuntu, though,
Nowadays there's more chance of a wireless USB dongle not working with
Windows than Ubuntu. We live in good times!
