generally getting email to work is just like windows, you need to put
the right account settings in. For BT the mail server is mail.btinternet.com
they might not support Linux, but then again they don't support Windows

Hi there Since going over to Natty, I find that the page layout
fails to print the top centimetre or so. This is not a problem when
printing from LibreOffice as I can adjust margins, but printing PDF's is
not good. It didn't happen before Natty - using the identical driver

Someone shouldn't be put off just because of the desktop environment. I have
the latest ubuntu but have installed fluxbox because I prefer it.
There's no reason to swap distro's just because you don't like a choice someone
