Hi Tony,
I am glad you brought that up as I am currently making a script to suit the
needs of the site (I am a PHP developer by profession) . I would like to
make it as unique as possible and add my own "spin" to the typical Q+A
scripts out there.
I just wasn't really sure what sort of features w
Hi Daniel
Putting aside whether (yet) another such site is needed (as Alan has already
commented), could I just point out the PHP script is not free - it appears to

I would add meego as one of the options (though it might be fedora, ill add

That's true, but out of the 10,000 people who Google for it. There have to
be some people having problems with Linux? And as it grows it will rank for
other certain problems and keywords.

Hi Al,
I was looking at the Google keyword tool for gaps where people just get
caught in a dead end. 10,000 people search for "Linux Problems" every month,
but if you search it yourself, you can see that there is nothing that is
really of use (Like a Q&A site or a forum).

I think that confirms my decision. It's quite a hassle sending the
thing back, and I already have a USB webcam that's not very good, but
good enough. Maybe it's the camera that De

Hi guys,
I have just launched a new Linux-based website like Yahoo answers (I got a
free script) and could do with a little bit of feedback with modifications
to make and maybe some Ubuntu/Linux based images for the header (the current
one is the default for the script...)
I could also do with so
for what it's worth:
I had real webcam problems with my Dell M1330. From 8.04 until 9.04.
It started intermittently, but then became permanent. lsusb didn't
show it, and dmesg gave me nothing.
I tried every patch and software solution I could find, and then
resorted to taking it apart to check

That's what I'd have said, but running from the
Its more likely a software issue then hardware.
If you have an image of a system that didn't work with the webcam, then you get
a new webcam and put the old image on and it stops again, that points to an
issue with the image.
Try a clean build.

Hi there
I mentioned failure of the built-in webcam on my Dell mini 10v netbook a
couple of weeks ago. Since then, the netbook has come back from Dell
with a new camera fitted. I sent it back with the original system
restored 'as received' when new.
I tested the webcam on receipt and it
Hi there .
A month or two back, some of you gave me lots of advice about upgrading.
I was going to put a system together myself. One of the things that was
holding me back was the thought of what might happen if the motherboard
or processor failed early on. I've heard some real horror storie
