Hiya Dave
Have you checked the restricted drivers? You can also use lspci and repost
to let us know what wifi card you have in there.

I saw dragon ns being demonstrated at the Gadget Show Live and it worked
perfectly for the 2 pages of text I saw him dictate and his voice was
neither particularly high nor low. It's the best speech recognition I've
ever seen and it's a shame that it doesn't even work too well under wine.

It seems a while since I heard from you. I just wondered if there is
any progress.
Kind regards,
Sounds like a misinformed student! I'll make sure to correct him on that
next time I see him ;) (He's not exactly the brightest potato in the

Hi Bill,
I don't think we want attendees handing out leaflets as such, it could
get messy

says who? I'm working to move them to Ubuntu but at the moment they are on
Windows. Oddly the main drive to shift them is that Mahara doesn't play
nicely on IIS and I really want rid of the Xampp set-ups I'

Linux is not freeware, it is FOSS, please make sure you understand the
differences here, especially if you are trying to "sell" it to others :P
On a lighter note, Mid-Kent College in Gillingham uses linux servers

Great to see the event is nearly a sell out with 2 weeks left to go. How
many people registered? We'll be along with some collateral to Support
Ubuntu in Business.

Hi,
Just a quick note to say if you haven't already collared a co-worker
and ordered a ticket for the Ubuntu in Business event then you'd
better hurry. There's currently only 32 tickets left for the event on
13th July in London.
