I have posted this on the Ubuntu forums as well, but hoping to
increase my chances of a solution by spreading the net.
My Thinkpad T42 with Karmic freezes just after login, if I have a
digital projector connected.
This is fresh install of Karmic that doesn't work.
It was working fine with an 8.1
