Add/remove programs has gone completely blank. "No application found".
Synaptic has no problem. I'm running 9.04.
Can anyone help? Paul

Taking note of all the helpful advice I was given I have successfully
installed 8.04.2 my thanks to all. Now, I hope that I will be able to go
ahead and set up to get the Bamboo to work as it should. Before I go
along too many blind alleys 'words of wisdom' would be very much
appreciated.

I have three optical drives and a keyboard with an eject hotkey. In
8.10, this key ejected my main drive - the fast new dvd drive. The other
two are just old, slow crappy cd drives.
