Hi, If viewing is the only thing that is required, can they not send you a PDF of the publisher file? They could use the cutePDF (http://www.cutepdf.com/products/CutePDF/writer.asp) PDF printer driver, or the PDF995 printer driver. Both are freeware (I am not sure of any open source alternative).

The old ugly chestnut has reared its' head again for me. The only thing left to release me from Microsoft for ever has come back to haunt me. I need to view Windows Publisher files. No editing is needed, just viewing. I haven't looked into this for sometime and an hour of googling hasn't helped.
