Hi all,
I was out this evening with some people from my lab, and my supervisor
brought his new girlfriend along (I didn't even know my supervisor had a
social life, he's in the lab a lot!). It turns out that his girlfriend
works for the BBC and she is part of a team which a planning a

In my view MythTV is still a bit of a dark art - I've never managed to

Well, I've found a couple of workarounds to this problem however I am not
entirely convinced that either of them are a sensible option.
The first way is to use: gksudo nautilus to access and edit files as root. The
second way is to add myself to the root group which then allows me full control
