do not care about the very real possibility of guest disk corruption

I can't reproduce this on my natty host which also has cups and the
system-config-printer-gnome running. I don't have high hopes that they
are in fact the culprit, but still it seems worth checking.

This appears to have been fixed upstream, and the fix is in oneiric. I
was able to reproduce it trivially on natty, and the following debdiff

Hm, my machine making the debdiff is having a problem. Suffice it to
say that debian/*.init which gets installed as /etc/init.d/apache is
