server...
I also contacted the server team admin, but I don't know who is the ntp
maintainer exactly.

Thanks for Lucid-fix. I did immediately test with new 'libc6' and
'upstart' from Lucid-proposed:
1. just new 'libc6' -> does not change anything (8 orphaned inodes after
reboot).
2. + new 'upstart' -> gives 1 orphaned inode after reboot.
3. new ('libc6' + 'upstart'), 'apt-get install --reinstall

This is an ongoing problem with every update. It appears that bind9 is
still set to try to update and it keeps failing. With each crash I have
had an opportunity to create a new bug report. For all of them that
have occurred up to today, I have been skipping re-submitting a new bug
report for th
/src/time/ntp-servers-list.c from the gnome-system-tools package also needs to
be patched.
Currently the time-admin config tool hard codes the ntp servers (seems like a
list of stratum 0 servers).
Minimally the ubuntu.pool.ntp.og servers should be added, but Ideally no
servers should be hard-co

some error about db dependencies.

makes more sense instead of having just a file with the credentials, you could
just have a file with additional parameters.
You can of course then include the credentials with username=xxx,password=xxx
this way you can include other options that you might need such as uid,gid,
nounix etc
