Hi i checked versions cacti it´s 0.8.7b and "snmp" it´s net-snmp-
version 5.4.1. There it´s some scripts what i run and their folder are
/usr/share/cacti/site/scripts. But cacti it´s but i didn´t find erro
messages "cacti" logs. And both installations i did binary packages
like apt-get install

I experienced the same issue. I tried a combination of methods to
resolve the file. First I looked at the diff, but I don't normally read
diffs, so I looked for another way. The 3 way diff seemed to have more
relevant information, and I was ok with what it returned, so I tried the
3 way merge.

Hi Mathias,
the system is a physical one. It was installed via ISO, but with some earier
ubuntu version, and then upgraded release by release. I've already tried
'aptitude reinstall openssh-server' without success.
Rebooting doesn't solve the problem. However, it isn't totally reproducable:

I'm experiencing the same bug, karmic x64, tons of ssh zombies.
Happens with interactive and non-interactive shells, and with ssh tunnels.
if i restarts the main sshd, it works for a little while, then starts
leaving zombies behind.
My shell is tcsh (doesn't seem to matter though).

I have a cheap NAS box that does not understand the unix extensions of
samba. Other than that, it was more or less working fine in Jaunty.
After recent updates, accessing the box from Karmic is hit-and-miss at
best.
