Hm, my machine making the debdiff is having a problem. Suffice it to
say that debian/*.init which gets installed as /etc/init.d/apache is
changed as follows:
20,21c20,21
< elif [ "${0##*/apache2-}" != "$0" ] ; then
< DIR_SUFFIX="-${0##*/apache2-}"

Thanks for taking the time to submit this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better.
This appears to have been fixed upstream, and the fix is in oneiric. I
was able to reproduce it trivially on natty, and the following debdiff
(about to be attached) fixed it for me.
