I'm going to mark this Wontfix for natty until there is at least a
specific request from someone who needs it. In order to fix it in
natty, I would need to fill out a SRU justification, so it will help to
be able to point to user demand, as well as to know that there will be
someone around to test

Well...I wanted to test your package though, unfortunately my machine
had broken after I posted the report...so I cannot do, I'm very sorry.
However, I believe the fix would not harm because I actually rebuilt
qemu-kvm package with libattr1-dev installed and it worked well.

I've pushed the package for oneiric, which should build in awhile. I
assume you'd like to see this SRUd to natty. Please feel free to do the
