are you still having this problem?
If so, can you reproduce it using kvm off the command line? I.e.
kvm -hda /var/lib/libvirt/images/sqlserver.img -m 2G -smp 4 -vnc
:1
Attach with gvncviewer (gvncviewer :1) and proceed to log in and shut it
down?
