It's not just a printer issue: you can not see any of the machines in
the workgroup.
FWIW I don't think it is just a Nautilus issue, as the same behaviour is
exhibited in gnome-commander. smbclient has

can't open username map /etc/samba/smbusers. Error No such file or directory
which is true - there is no smbusers file in etc/samba although a list
of users appears in system-config-
