Pear + Pecl Channel issue:

Steps to reproduce:
1) sudo apt-get install php-pear
2) sudo pear install {any package}
result:
pear.php.net is using a unsupported protocal - This should never happen.
install failed
Work around:
1) sudo rm -R /usr/share/php/
ed to
"/usr/share/doc/php-pear" and pear and pecl started to work correctly.
