I have tested latest focal kernel and looks like the kernel issue is
still there. There is an on going thread upstream about that (most
likely) and I have explained how to reproduce the issue here:

executed during package build time, that are failing:

(autopkgtest fix was provided in version 2:14.0.1-0ubuntu3).
