certificate (we're using almost everywhere else). Unfortunately,
pollinate is calling curl with --capath /dev/null so we need to include
this.

ok. so i can reproduce this on both arm64 and ppc64el.
On ppc64el, both on trusty and on utopic.
Adding '-initrd ' fixes the problem.
Heres an improved copy/paste to recreate. It does *not* fail on
(arch=amd64).

I tried the patch and I can confirm it worked once. However it didn't
