After removing Juju from my system ("apt-get remove --purge juju") I
notice a python twistd process for juju still runs all the time (it is
started at bootup.) The process is outputting data to the storage-

What if NM always dropped whatever configuration file it needs in
/etc/dnsmasq.d/nm.conf,
and when NM was started, it would check if /etc/init.d/dnsmasq exists,

previous comments problem is not only in smtp configuration. I use
cyrus-sasl to get subversion server authenticate with active directory
(ldap) and in current ubuntu package it is totally broken. I tried to

Thanks, so until the #3 idea is implemented (if ever), I'll be disabling the
NM-spawned dnsmasq.

NSS using LDAP+SSL breaks setuid applications like su, sudo, apache2
suexec
I installed a clean 12.04 Precise with full updates onto a VM just to
test this issue (also following the Flurdy install proc) and this is
still an issue. I have tried Dario's
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cyrus-
sasl2/+bug/875440/comments/34) reccomendation and still get the same
erro
Related debian bug is http://bugs.debian.org/650527, and this is fixed
in 2.7.12-2.

Had to work around a misconfiguration in the director config for mysql
on a fresh install but confirmed:
Please correct configuration file: /etc/bacula/bacula-dir.conf

longer segfaults.

With the latest dnsmasq code the two dnsmasq instances appear to work
correctly in all combinations. I just tested as follows.
* With both dnsmasqs running, nm-dnsmasq forwards to the upstream nameservers
and listens on 127.0.0.2; standalone dnsmasq forwards to 127.0.0.2 and listens
on 127.0.0.
