I've just upgraded to 10.04 (LTS) from 9.10. I can't get 1680x1050
resolution any more with my WinXP VM. The best I can do is 1600x1200
then stretch/squash to fit which looks terrible. I'm using the '-vga
std' option. I also get a series of errors at launch (like the parent
post):

callback hook to unmap the devices it sets up using kpartx. The problem
is udev rules adding device mappings using kpartx as soon as the raw
device gets partitioned.
AFAIK the relevant udev rule is /lib/udev/rules.d/55-dm.rul

Actually, as it turns out, it's more an Apache problem than a PHP
problem. I tried to downgrade PHP, but it turns out that it won't work.
Instead, I brought PHP to Lucid's level, but installed Apache from
Karmic, and that solved the problem. At this point, I suspect that I
might have a buggered c
it took me hours to figure that out googling (the smtp-auth) but thanks
v. much for the info, it confirms what i'd decided.
This had an easy work around, was just annoying, but thanks for the
quick response!

I'm attaching the patch for this issue. As for SMTP-AUTH, dovecot-
postfix doesn't allow authentication over unencrypted protocol. So,
telneting to port 25 won't give you anything, but you can try this:
openssl s_client -connect localhost:25 -starttls smtp
and then run ehlo hostname.
