i get the same error when i try to connect to OpenSSH_5.1p1 from
nautilus, works from command line(bash). Also it used to work in
nautilus but then start giving me this error all of a sudden.
I know if I reboot and try to connect with nautilus again to the same
server this error will not show unti
Based on the comments above, this bug should have been fixed in boto
1.7. We're at boto 1.8 in Karmic and 1.9 in Lucid. Given that, I'm
closing as fix released. Please re-open if this is still a problem on
9.10 or 10.04.

Sorry to bother you, but I think you can cancel the issue from the bug
list. As it seems it is just an permission problem. By de-installation,
running
$ ./configure --prefix/homme/.../clamav --disable-clamav
$ make; make install
followed by
# groupadd clamav
# useradd -g clamav -s /bi
