Not sure if this is related to this bugrep, but if installation of
images from the UI fails and only the eki-XXX file is displayed -
no emi or eri image/ramdisk is displayed, how do I NOT get these to
display on the UI?
I'm running eucalyptus 1.61 both cc and nc on a single PC to try it out.

Weird as it sounds, I got around the issue moving up the relevant entry
in fstab (/dev/sda7), and positioning it just between / and swap
mounting. I must warn, however, that mysqld seldom does not start anyway
and I cannot isolate the cause for such a random behaviour. Hope this
helps.

I don't see how this is a bug. Debian and Ubuntu in general try to
enable as many features of software packages as they can, almost
everything has Kerberos authentication of some form or another as a
feature, and because of how libraries and Debian dependencies work,
anything that /supports/ Kerber
Editorial: Just amazed - I even got blasted on the forums on this - as
if it's my issue only... There were others there, as here, with the
exact problem. Maybe Mark S. was correct in "abandoning ship" (the
owner of the company that created Ubuntu.)

Hmm, yesterday sound from KVM+ALSA worked for the whole day (using
"export QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=alsa") but today the audio from KVM works for
couple of seconds only (enough to hear the startup audio from windows
only)!
This is repeatable each time I shutdown and start the windows XP SP2
virtual machine.
Reassign to mysql-dfsg-5.0:
invoke-rc.d: initscript mysql, action "start" failed.
