He found the bug against 1.5 in Jaunty. We've never seen this in 1.6 in
Karmic. So we're marking fix-released in Karmic, and won't-fix in
Jaunty.

using openssh-client version 1:5.1p1-5ubutu1 to a Karmic system with

second try it didnt work.

I massaged this configuration until I got it to work as expected.
ie,
a) system can talk out to the network, ping, resolve names, etc.
b) the network can talk to the system, ping, ssh, wake-on-lan
c) the cloud can deploy vm's to the system, with their networking pro
