Oh, yeah, Thierry's very likely spot on here. This is documented in the
ssh_config(5) manual page.
If you don't want to use IdentitiesOnly, you could remove some of those
keys from your agent. Perhaps you're running some agent other than ssh-
agent, such as seahorse, and some bit of the desktop is

Note that this is only if /sbin/mount.cifs isn't present (smbfs not

For root CIFS mounts, mount.cifs helper is called when present,
otherwise only "mount" and kernel magic is used to mount the

Not a bug in smbfs or samba, since they aren't even installed... and
when they are installed everything behaves correctly. Moving to util-

I think it's by design when IdentitiesOnly is not set in .ssh/config or

I agree using "script-security 2" isn't exactly backward-compatible but
since previous versions had an insecure behavior it's a good trade-off.

OK, so according to the upstream bug I basically need to pull my finger
out and package 5.2. That isn't really something anyone can help with at
present, since my version control is still regrettably in CVS; getting
it into bzr is on my list, but preserving the history is complicated ...

As far as I can see, the package is not in Sid. If you believe that the
package is stable enough and it's worth having it in Karmic, please
request a sync with experimental.
