I have a correction to make to the above, commenting out these lines in
the mythweb apache config file (ie: /etc/apache2/sites-
available/mythweb.conf ) will make mythweb work, although I'm not able
to verify if it breaks anything else:
php_value zlib.output_handler Off
php_value output_

This bug has been fixed upstream and in later relases of Ubuntu. Without
this patch users that use mod_proxy and SSL will cause apache processes
to use up all of the CPU. I have attached the upstream patch which
resolves this issue. I have also attached the debdiff. This patch has
also been verifie

There is MSSQL.SO - so I would understand a bug asking for building
separate SYBASE extension.
In debian/patches/119-sybase-alias.patch we aliased SYBASE functions to
MSSQL in EXT/MSSQL/PHP_MSSQL.C and php5 is built with (see
