I too am having the same issues. 1 computer running Ubuntu Server 8.04,
with ubuntu-desktop installed over top for gui purposes, and one running
xp SP2.
On the Ubuntu machines, I can get speeds of 1.6-1.8 MEGAB
Can you attach your /var/log/daemon.log?

There is no problem during the removal of those packages. However if I
don't remove mysql-common when installing mysql-server. I get the
previously posted error.

Postfix currently assumes that if postfix/destinations is set to a non-
default value (debconf flag 'set' is true), then postconf has the
correct (quite likely to have been changed by the user by editing
main.cf), and loads it from there, in order to handle the case where
users get annoyed at postf

I have the exact same problem. I try to automatically install postfix on
several computers and the preseeded destination setting is overwritten
regardless of what I am doing.

I've tested this one. It builds, but doesn't install due to versioning
requirement on lsb-base. It should work if that requirement is relaxed,
but a core-dev will have to do the changes and upload to the PPA to
test.

I dont think this is worth the SRU as it causes no major problems and
shouldnt happen under normal circumstances. To correct the problem - the
user can just
touch /etc/nagios2/apache2.conf
and the purge will complete.
