yes, I was asked to make selection at which I chose to "keep the local version
currently installed", then the installation stopped at the terminal screen. I
exit the terminal screen and the installation seems continue and later again I
was asked to make the same selection. Again I chose the sam

Derezynski tells on the ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list that if he

When I deleted the package libpam-smbpass there were no more crashes in
cups web-gui. I'm changing the bug to Invalid but at least now other
people with the same problem can find an explanation

Is not only a problem with reload, but also affects normal operation as
apache kills its childs acording to MaxRequestsPerChild and
orMaxSpareServers, making Ubuntu completely unusable as a production web
server.
I this continue to be unsolved, I will be forced to move
