Chris, the first is a kernel bug.. And it's a regression from precise it

different kernels and perhaps an upstream or mainline kernel to diagnose
where the issue lies. If you can pinpoint when/where it was introduced,

Hello everyone. The most exciting time of the cycle is here. I've
slotted our final cadence week for raring to take place during the last
couple weeks of the cycle with a goal of testing the isos. April 11th is
the kernel freeze, and April 18th is final freeze. We should expect to

Hi,
I've been discussing this issue and Lubuntu 12.04 being 100% LTS or not [1]
and all the confusion about "will Lubuntu still support my very old machine
or not?" for the last two weeks or maybe more.
Long story short, I will jump in and find out myself some if not all the

The ubuntu x team has an FFE for a new version of mesa, and needs your
help in testing it!

The goal is to have testing on as broad a range of systems as possible.
The testcase is now live here:

For those of you who are wondering, the reason older machines can't run
12.10 or 12.04, it's because the kernel uses PAE (it's a method to have
more than 4 gigs of ram on a 32-bit operating system I think), and for
those of you who have hardware that doesn't support PAE, the two good

Thanks!
O
I thought 12.04 had a non-PAE kernel and it was dropped in 12.10. I think it
was just made non-default and not available in the installer in 12.04.

oh, okay sorry. I had an issue with 12.10 and assumed since I had used
11.10 just fine, this had been going on since 12.04, thanks for the
correction!
