When Thunderbird is opened and Address Book selected, the contacts are
not shown. If Address Book is closed and then re-selected the contacts
are shown correctly. 100% repeatable for me

u, I get a delay between selecting ubuntu from the
grub menu & the display or the ubuntu logo. Moreover there's also a
"black out" (if i may call it) between the ubuntu logo & the log in
screen. Is that normal? Doesn't this reduce boot time? (P.S.: I too a

I'm Bob & have been using Ubuntu for the past several years. Currently

As much as I'd like to be part of the laptop testing team, the issue of
downloading the iso is an obstacle. MY connection speed & bandwidt
I found removing the nVidia driver (reboot) and installing the default
nouveau driver (this should just happen but you may need to go to
recovery mode first, reconfigure and restart the xserver, procede with
basic graphics) and then when at Desktop selecting the 3D experimental
driver (a plugin for
